In April 2026, Integrated Border Management (IBM) in Ukraine evolved against the backdrop of increased spring mobility and continued adaptation to European digital solutions. Passenger traffic across the western borders reached 2.4 million people, up from 2.1 million in March. The number of vehicles crossing the border also grew — particularly on the Polish route, where over 20,000 crossings were recorded daily.

Digital transformation continued, with improvements to electronic services, enhanced data exchange, and the implementation of the European Entry/Exit System (EES), which is reshaping border control procedures. The customs system is also strengthening: in April, customs revenues reached 61.9 billion UAH, and more than 1,100 customs violations were detected.

Infrastructure efforts remained active, with the ongoing development of border crossings and access roads, supported by international partners. The Danube corridor gained momentum, while logistics efforts focused on alternative routes and the functioning of international transport corridors.
